The Lok Sabha is discussing supplementary demands for grants for 2019-20. This includes 78 grants and four appropriations. The proposal involves net cash outgo aggregate to around 54 thousand crore rupees.Initiating the discussion, Manish Tewari of Congress criticized the government for the situation in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. He said, no economic development is possible without social peace.

Participating in the discussion, Jagdambika Pal of BJP said,this is perhaps for the first time, the government managed to limit the cash outgo to the minimum.The House is also discussing the supplementary demands for grants in respect of the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
